INTEGRATED DATA COMMUNICATION
Fronius is the first inverter manufacturer to offer a data communication package with fully integrated data logging, WLAN and Ethernet technologies, energy management, web server and many interfaces. This allows the inverter to be connected to the Internet via a network cable or WLAN (without additional cables) and provides an optimal overview of the PV system operation. Connection to third-party components is provided by interfaces such as Modbus TCP SunSpec, Modbus RTU SunSpec or the Fronius Solar API (JSON). In addition, open interfaces can be used in parallel to access the Fronius Solar.web software.
DYNAMIC PEAK MANAGER
Dynamic Peak Manager is a new MPP tracking algorithm that dynamically adapts behavior to find the optimal operating point. The special feature is that the Dynamic Peak Manager algorithm automatically checks the whole characteristic periodically, and therefore can find the global maximum power point (GMPP) even under partial shading.
MULTI FLOW TECHNOLOGY
Multi Flow Technology allows different DC and AC power flows to coexist. Firstly, in this way, a household can be supplied with both a solar panel and a battery at the same time. Secondly, the energy from the solar panels can be supplied simultaneously to the battery and to the domestic grid. In addition, the battery can be charged not only from the DC side but also from the AC side (e.g. from existing photovoltaic systems or other energy sources such as wind turbine). Therefore, the inverter is also suitable for retrofitting AC systems. The inverter regulates these energy flows to achieve the highest possible self-sufficiency.
SUPERFLEX DESIGN
Fronius SuperFlex Design technology offers a sophisticated combination of technical parameters that now allows you to set up your PV systems much more flexibly and easily. The most important performance factors of SuperFlex Design technology are: two MPP trackers combined with high system voltage and a wide DC input voltage range. In addition, each DC input, and therefore each MPP tracker, can accept the full rated power of the inverter at any time. For different roof orientations, shielding can be used via one or two branches or with residual panels: with the Fronius inverter with integrated SuperFlex Design technology, all relevant configuration scenarios can be exploited in the practice of operational planning of PV systems with only one inverter model.
FULL BACKUP
With Full Backup, the entire household, i.e. 1-phase and 3-phase devices, can be powered in the event of a power failure.
PV POINT
The integrated emergency power backup circuit - an electrical outlet that is powered during a power outage - ensures that important appliances continue to function in the event of a power outage.
ACTIVE COOLING
Active cooling technology uses one or more fans to prevent local overheating while regulating air circulation inside the inverter. This keeps the temperature of the power electronics low, resulting in longer equipment life, optimum yield and lower costs. At Fronius, active cooling is the technology standard for all instruments.
