Watt

The term "watt" (W) is a unit of power measurement in electrical engineering and physics. Power indicates the rate at which energy is generated, transferred or consumed in a system per unit time. One watt (1 W) is equal to one joule of energy consumed or generated in one second.

In the context of photovoltaics, "watt" is used to measure the amount of electricity or power generated by photovoltaic panels and photovoltaic systems. Power indicates the amount of energy that a system is capable of generating or supplying to the electricity grid per unit of time. The higher the power, the more energy can be generated in a given time interval.
